Edible Brattleboro

Edible Brattleboro has established help-yourself gardens in two locations in downtown Brattleboro (at the Brattleboro Food Co-op and Turning Point Recovery Center). We hope to add more gardens in locations where there is a commitment to maintenance. In 2018 we began testing out container gardens, thanks to volunteer Tom Green, who built prototypes of a wicking barrel container garden, which were placed at our two public sites.

Edible Brattleboro also offers free fresh local produce at its Share the Harvest stand. We are grateful to the Brattleboro community for their support for this initiative, including the gardeners who share produce from their gardens, the volunteers who are essential to the operation of the stand, and especially to the local farmers who generously donate produce each week. The stand is open on Sundays from 11am to 1pm during the summer from July through October, and is located in front of Turning Point Recovery Center, corner of Elm and Frost Streets (diagonally across from the New England Youth Theatre).

We also offer educational programs including gardening and cooking classes throughout the year. For more information visit our website at https://ediblebrattleboro.org.
